One in every 4 children live in food insecure households in Dallas County.  The number of individuals who access food pantries in Dallas County could fill the new Dallas Cowboy stadium two-a-half times each month. 

Social Services' food pantry is one of our financial assisted programs.  Our pantry’s core mission is to provide our clients with nutritional meal options to help ease a crisis in the household.  For every $1 donated, MSS is able to secure 3 meals.

Hours of Operation:
Mesquite Social Services is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm. Pantry is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am until 12:00 appointment is necessary.  Other times may be available with advance appointment made by a staff member.  

Each household is allotted points based on the number of individuals in the family.  Individuals redeem their points during a 12-month period from start date. Visits to our pantry can be as often as each client has points to use during the 12-month time period.
Clients shop the pantry to select items they want and need.
  Mesquite Social Services’ pantry provides staples, meats, eggs, milk, cheese and other refrigerated and frozen items to give the client a wide variety of meal combinations.  We also provide some ethnic type foods.
